Former great Wasim Akram praises Dhoni’s men
One of the finest fast bowlers of our era and successful captain of the Pakistan team has praised that Dhoni’s men in blue far a head of Pakistan after former chased down 267 against latter’s formidable bowling attack.
Akram told that Indians were prepared to handle the pressures of typical India-Pakistan match and finally sealed the match in penultimate ball of the last over. He expressed Indians outclassed their arch-rivals in every department and looked a far better out fit. In short he told that Indians are miles a head.
He singled out Indian opener Gautam Gambhir to play a sensible innings in difficult conditions to bat. He rated his 83 runs as superb knock and also praised Dhoni to come in no.4 by leading from the front. He praised Dhoni for his all important knock of 56 along with Gambhir. Akram personally told that he likes Dhoni as captain who take responsibilities.
He also praised Harbhajan for standing fearless against Shoaib Akhtar and even smashed him a huge six with out giving no respect for the fast bowler. He pointed out Harbhajan performed time and again well for his country. Harbhajan even smashed young Mohammed Aamer for a six in penultimate delivery in the last over when 3 runs needed in 2 balls.
Wasim Akram raised questions on leaving in-form off-spinner Saeed Ajmal for the match against Sri Lanka. He questioned the experienced team management comprises of Waqar Younis, Shahid Afridi, Aquib Javed and Ejaz Ahmed on how could they drop the match winner Saeed Ajmal for the crucial match.
