M Vijay’s heroics and good bowling by Chennai Super Kings spinners sealed much needed victory for them against in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore. Chennai Super Kings stopped their losing streak by beating Royal Challengers by 5.
Anil Kumble won the toss and elected his team to bat first. Chennai Super Kings was in a situation to win the match desperately. They started off well my removing talented Manish Pandey for 5 when the score was 12. Kallis, a consistent campaigner played one more important innings and putting price for his wicket. Kallis scored 52 from 42 balls with 7 boundaries.
Kohli and Uthappa got starts but Jakati nipped them at crucial junctures of the match for 21 and 34 respectively. Kevin Pietersen and Cameron White struggled initially but scored those important runs towards the end. They both took the score board to the totally that was defendable.

But quick wickets of Dhoni, Morkel and Badrinath gave Super Kings some anxious moments. But Raina remained through the end and completed the match for Super Kings. The six he has hit in extra-covers during the crunch situation of the match was feast to watch. Much needed victory has come for Super Kings. M Vijay for his fantastic innings fetched him man of the match.
