Virendra Sehwag out and Murali Vijay in T20 World cup squad

Virendra Sehwag once again timed his injury perfectly especially when the T20 world cup is in the corridor. Virendra Sehwag was ruled out of T20 world cup following his shoulder injury.

Even in the last edition of T20 world cup he was with the team with out playing the match and went on to had a shoulder operation for the injury suffered. He would be replaced by the young opener of CSK and Tamil Nadu Murali Vijay.

N.Srinivasan, BCCI Secretary has told that Sehwag injured his shoulders and doctors advised him a rest of 3-4 weeks, which means his participation in the T20 world cup, is not possible.

Though Sehwag has scored 356 runs from 14 matches in IPL3 at an average of 25, it is considered not at par with his high standards. Surprisingly even Daredevils officials stranded confused and are clueless on this injury. Even the statement did not mention when he was exactly got injured. Gautam Gambhir is placed as vice captain since Sehwag is not available.

Blessing in disguise is Murali Vijay who has shown lot of promise and impressed even cricketing experts with his sound technique has got an opportunity to replace Sehwag. Vijay has scored a power packed 127 out of just 56 balls in which he has demonstrated clean hitting yet with out compromising on his correct technique.

Chennai Super Kings opener looked very stylish and even his slogging seemed technically correct. His footwork was immensely correct as per any cricketing standards. He is in fine form and scored 417 runs so far in the IPL3.
