Umar Gul is not available for Pakistan in T20 world cup
Umar Gul, who played a key role in Pakistan to clinch the world cup, last year in England, is injured and not available for the T20 world cup to be held in West Indies. Former T20 captain Younus Khan, who led the Pakistan team to T20 victory has told that Gul absence can hurt the prospects of the team.
Umar Gul was quiet good in bowling those deceptive yorkers and sharp bouncers that yielded and the team good results in last T20 world cup. Gul’s absence is considered a huge set back for the Pakistan team though it has bagful of resources. Young Mohammed Aamer is one of finest left-arm pace bowler in the world and he is expected to trouble the batsmen with his express and slow deliveries. And Pakistan team has Asif, Ajmal and Amir.
Even Mohammad Irfan is a fantastic prospect for Pakistan cricket. He is 6’10” tall and looking very devastating. But he was included in the team and suddenly was dropped in the 11th in the plane.
Mohammad Sami and Rehman too are inducted in the team and bowling unit of Pakistan looks strong. Both performed very nicely in domestic circuit and Sami even well in Australia.
Bowling performance alone cannot do wonders to Pakistani as batting must also click in a big way. In last edition, boom boom Shahid Afirdi done well with both bat and ball and again that kind of performance is needed from to retain the cup.
