Thus Chennai Super Kings becomes the most consistent team in the IPL tournament by reaching the final in the first edition, reached semi-final in the second and third one now belongs to them.
Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar who led Mumbai Indians successfully to the finals of IPL3 has been named for the IPL awards for best batsman and the captain of this edition. Sachin Tendulkar conquered the bowlers and shown prolific form as usual. Master batsman, who turns 37 tomorrow, has scored 570 runs in 14 matches.

Chennai Super Kings woes continue as Jacob Oram, the key all-rounder of the team has been ruled out of the entire Indian Premier League III. Oram is suffering from tendon tear and undergoing a treatment. He has been advised by the doctors to be in rest for one month.
